Job Summary
Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis by unpacking, routing, identifying, labeling, and shipping samples to testing facilities. Accurately enter patient data and resolve problem specimens while meeting department production goals. Handle biological specimens and store excess samples according to standard operating procedures in a fast-paced environment. Requires high school diploma, strong data entry skills, and ability to lift 40lbs. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:30pm to 9:00pm.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED or equivalent
- Comfortable handling biological specimens
- Ability to accurately identify specimens
- Proficient in MS Office
- Able to lift up to 40lbs
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year or more experience (lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing or warehouse environment)
- 1 year or more of medical or production experience
- Experience working in a team environment
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- High level of attention to detail
