Job Summary
Specimen Processor I at LabCorp prepares laboratory specimens for analysis and testing, unpacks and routes specimens to staging areas, accurately identifies and labels specimens, packs and ships specimens to proper facilities, and enters patient information data accurately to meet production goals. The role requires handling biological specimens, working in a team, and maintaining high attention to detail. Key duties include specimen accessioning, data entry, and ensuring proper storage of samples in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment necessary to support healthcare diagnostics. Candidates should have a High School diploma or GED, be comfortable handling biological materials, possess strong data entry and organizational skills, be able to lift up to 40lbs, and pass a color vision test. Required Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED or equivalent
- Preferred Qualifications: 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse
- Additional Job Standards: Comfortable handling biological specimens
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Experience with MS Office
- Able to lift up to 40lbs.
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
