Job Summary
Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis by unpacking, routing, identifying, and labeling samples before packing and shipping them to testing facilities. Accurately enter patient information and resolve any problem specimens while meeting department production goals. Properly store excess specimen samples and maintain high attention to detail in this fast-paced, high-throughput environment. Schedule includes Monday through Friday from 3:30pm to 12:00am with rotating Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED or equivalent
- Comfortable handling biological specimens
- Ability to accurately identify specimens
- Experience working in a team environment
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Experience with MS Office
- Able to lift up to 40lbs
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year or more experience in lab, accessioning, production, manufacturing, or warehouse
