Required Qualifications

• •Must be a high school graduate or equivalent

• •Must be able to complete annual competency assessments
• •Must be able to comply with all PPE requirements when in the laboratory or other biohazard areas
• •Must be able to follow departmental, company, and regulatory policies
• •Must be able to resolve order and specimen issues with providers and technical team
• •Must be able to assist in staff training and orientation
• •Must be able to promote teamwork and positive work environment
• •Must be able to demonstrate customer service principles to patients and coworkers
• •Must be able to operate and maintain departmental equipment (e.g., pneumatic tube station, centrifuges)
• •Must be able to file, store, and discard specimens appropriately
• •Must be able to prepare specimens for repeat or additional testing; handle referrals
• •Must be able to assist with automation system troubleshooting
• •Must be able to load specimens onto laboratory instruments
• •Must be able to ensure specimen identification and integrity through visual inspection
• •Must be able to prepare specimens for testing via centrifugation and distribution
• •Must be able to receive and process electronically transmitted specimens
• •Must be able to enter patient, client, physician info, specimen type, and testing details into system
• •Must be able to prioritize specimens before data entry
• •Must be able to complete required safety training and health evaluations in a timely manner
• •Must be able to adhere to safety, ergonomic and health policies of the Company
• •Must be able to practice prompt and courteous customer service
• •Must be able to identify or specimens
• •Must be able to maintain specimen integrity during preparation for testing
• •Must be able to perform other assigned duties
• •Must be able to work night shifts (11:00 PM-7:30 AM)
• •Must be able to work weekend and holiday rotation
• •Must be able to work evening shifts (3:00 PM-11:30 PM)
• •Must be able to process specimens from Sandridge and other hospital locations

Desired Qualifications
