Job Summary
Conduct general laboratory services including specimen collection, order entry, blood component preparation, and pre-analytic processing of specimens. Manage patient and specimen registration while performing related clerical tasks and specimen delivery. Operate within a full-time day shift from Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm at IU North in Carmel, IN. Requires a high school diploma or GED, phlebotomy training, and strong computer and interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications
- HS grad or GED Equivalent
- Requires proven understanding of computers
- Requires telephone skills
- Requires strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member
- Requires ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time
- May require a valid Indiana Operators license and a good driving history for the last three years
- May require an understanding of the traffic laws in the State of Indiana
- Shift: Day- Full Time-Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm
- Location: IU North- Carmel, IN
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of a phlebotomy training program with experience in laboratory or coursework in biological, chemical or related science preferred
