Job Summary
Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid (saliva) specimens, process and package collections for shipping, and serve as an intermediary between the practice/clinic and the laboratory. Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information, while resolving specimen concerns through the ordering portal. Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite, and observe collections for Millennium Health specimens when applicable. This role requires a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and the ability to navigate smartphones and computers. Candidates must adhere to HIPAA, HiTrust, and confidentiality policies, with regular travel and occasional overnight coverage. Full-time female candidates are sought for observed collections of gender-identified female patients at our Bloomington, MN location.
Required Qualifications
- Female candidates
- 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector
- 1+ years of experience in the medical field
- 2+ years of customer service experience
- Demonstrated ability to navigate a smart phone and computer
- Valid driver's license
- reliable transportation
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to ensure HIPAA, HiTrust, Confidentiality and Compliance policy, procedures, and standards are always adhered to
- Ability to ensure administrative, physical and technical cyber security controls are always adhered to
- Must be willing to travel
- Must possess a valid REAL ID or an acceptable alternative form of identification
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs
- Must be able to sit 60%
- Must be able to walk 20%
- Must be able to stand 20%
