Job Summary
Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens and process/package collections for shipping. Serve as the liaison between the practice/clinic and the laboratory, recording patient information and order details, resolving specimen concerns in the ordering portal, and maintaining collection supplies inventory onsite. Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens and potentially travel to multiple facilities. Requires 6+ months of specimen-collector experience or 1+ year in the medical field supporting patients, plus 2+ years of customer service experience or relevant medical experience. Must have a High School diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and be able to navigate smartphones/computers. Adhere to HIPAA, HiTrust, confidentiality, and compliance policies and ensure security controls. Regular travel is required; employers may require REAL ID for government travel. This role is full-time with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k match, PTO, tuition assistance, and mileage reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Valid driver’s license required; reliable transportation
- 2+ years of customer service experience or 2+ years of medical field experience
- 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ year in the medical field supporting patients
- Ability to navigate smartphone/computer
- HIPAA, HiTrust, Confidentiality and Compliance policy adherence
- Ability to ensure administrative, physical and technical cyber security controls are always adhered to
- Physical requirements: sitting 60%, walking 20%, standing 20%, lifting up to 20 lbs
- Regular travel; valid REAL ID or acceptable ID for government travel
