Job Summary
Collect biological specimens at client sites while maintaining chain of custody, sample integrity, and complete labeling. Follow standard operating procedures for sample collection, verify insurance through Passport, and package specimens for shipment. Ensure sample requisitions are accurate, answer client questions regarding Aegis policies, and request payments where applicable. Order supplies, manage the budget, and comply with safety requirements including PPE use. Maintain open communication with sales managers and participate in process improvements and team goals. Represent Aegis professionally while working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining a focus on quality and extreme confidentiality
- Excellent customer service skills
- Positive approach and attitude in patient interactions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple tasks without sacrificing quality
- Attention to detail
- Ability to interact with staff at all levels
- Ability to send, receive, and monitor emails
- Basic understanding of web site navigation including URL and how to enter website addresses
- Ability to maintain and enter usernames/password and understand why credentials are important
- Basic understanding of ports on a computer (USB for signature pad, printers)
- Ability to type at least 40 words per minute
- Experience and understanding of Windows operating system
