Job Summary
Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens, process and package collections for shipping, and serve as an intermediary between clinics and the laboratory. Record patient information, physician orders, and lab details while resolving specimen concerns through the ordering portal. Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite and observe collection for Millennium Health specimens when applicable. Drive between multiple facilities in Lebanon and Marshfield, MO, adhering to HIPAA, HiTrust, and cyber security protocols. Requires a valid driver's license, smartphone proficiency, and 6+ months of specimen collection experience. Part-time Thursday and Friday shifts with every other Friday in Marshfield. Salary range $18-21/hr.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector
- 1+ years of experience in the medical field
- 2+ years of customer service experience
- Demonstrated ability to navigate a smart phone and computer
- Valid driver's license
- reliable transportation
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to ensure HIPAA, HiTrust, Confidentiality and Compliance policy, procedures, and standards are always adhered to
- Ability to ensure administrative, physical and technical cyber security controls are always adhered to
- Must be available for Thursday and Friday 7:45am-4:00pm
- Must be available for every other Friday in Marshfield
- Must be able to drive from/to multiple facilities
Desired Qualifications
- medical insurance/billing and/or familiarity with medications/diagnostic codes
- 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years of experience in the medical field, directly supporting patients preferred
- 2+ years of customer service experience can be considered in place of medical experience
