Job Summary
Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens, process and package collections for shipping, and serve as an intermediary between clinics and the laboratory. Record patient information, physician orders, and lab details while resolving specimen concerns through the ordering portal. Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite and observe collections when applicable. Drive between multiple facilities as required. Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA, HiTrust, and cyber security policies.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector
- 1+ years of experience in the medical field
- 2+ years of customer service experience
- Demonstrated ability to navigate a smart phone and computer
- Valid driver's license
- reliable transportation
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to ensure HIPAA, HiTrust, Confidentiality and Compliance policy, procedures, and standards are always adhered to
- Ability to ensure administrative, physical and technical cyber security controls are always adhered to
- Physical requirements: sitting 60%, walking 20%, standing 20%, lifting up to 20 lbs
- National, federal, and county criminal history background check clearance
- Global watchlist search clearance
- Social Security Number (SSN) trace clearance
- FACIS (Fraud and Abuse Control Information System) Level 3 search clearance
- SAM (System for Award Management) and OIG (Office of Inspector General) exclusions clearance
- Education verification clearance
- Driving record (Motor Vehicle Report) clearance
- 5-panel urine drug screening clearance
