Job Summary
Specimen Collector position located in Las Vegas, NV. Full-time role operating Monday–Friday 9am–5pm for observed collections of gender-identified female patients. Responsibilities include collecting patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens, processing and packaging for shipping, serving as liaison between the practice/clinic and laboratory, recording patient and order details, resolving specimen concerns in the ordering portal, maintaining collection supplies inventory, observing collections onsite, and potential driving between facilities. Requires strong customer service skills, ability to navigate smartphone/computer, a valid driver’s license, HIPAA/HiTrust compliance awareness, and High School diploma or equivalent. Benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision, 401k with company match, PTO, tuition assistance, and more. Salary range $21–$25 per hour, with pay dependent on qualifications, experience, and location.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years of experience in the medical field, directly supporting patients preferred
- 2+ years of customer service experience can be considered in place of medical experience
- Demonstrated ability to navigate a smart phone and computer required
- Valid driver’s license required; reliable transportation
- Medical insurance/billing and/or familiarity with medications/diagnostic codes is a plus
- Ability to ensure HIPAA, HiTrust, Confidentiality and Compliance policy, procedures, and standards are always adhered to.
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Physical requirements: sitting 60%, walking 20%, standing 20%, lifting up to 20 lbs.
