Job Summary
Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis by unpacking, routing, identifying, labeling, and shipping them to testing facilities. Accurately enter patient data and document any problem specimens while meeting department activity and production goals. Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples in this high-volume, production-based environment. Requires high school diploma, experience in a medical or production setting, ability to lift 40lbs, and proficiency in MS Office.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable handling biological specimens
- Ability to accurately identify specimens
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Monday-Friday 8:00pm - 4:30am, rotating weekends
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year or more of experience in a medical or production environment
- Experience working in a team environment
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Office
