Specimen Accessioner

Specimen Processor I responsibilities include preparing laboratory specimens for analysis, unpacking and routing specimens to staging areas, accurately identifying and labeling, packing and shipping to testing facilities, meeting department production goals, preparing/storing excess specimens, data entry of patient information, and resolving problematic specimens. Requires comfort handling biological specimens, strong data entry and organizational skills, ability to work in a team, high attention to detail, proficiency with MS Office, and ability to lift up to 40lbs; standardized color blind test must be passable. This role supports Labcorp's Specimen Processing and Accessioning team in Charlotte, NC, with a 3:30pm-12:30am schedule Monday–Friday and rotating Saturdays. Minimum qualification is a high school diploma or equivalent; preferred qualifications include 1+ year of related lab/accessioning/production experience and related medical or production experience.
