Job Summary
Specimen accessioning, sample sorting, and data entry in a clinical laboratory. Responsibilities include preparing specimens for analysis, accurately labeling and identifying specimens, entering data into the laboratory system, and meeting department activity/production goals. Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate tasks, respond to client inquiries about specimens, and maintain accuracy while wearing PPE and sitting for extended periods. Additional tasks may be assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma is required
- Experience in a healthcare environment (preferred)
- Comfortable handling blood, urine and saliva specimens
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Accurately identify specimens and enter relevant information
- Ability to accurately enter data into laboratory systems
- Ability to collaborate with team
- Willingness to wear Personal Protective Equipment
