Job Summary
The Specification Writer 2 creates and maintains technical documents for civil and environmental projects, collaborating with engineers and project managers to ensure specifications align with client and company standards. Responsibilities include writing clear specifications, managing client-specific templates, calculating construction quantities, estimating costs, and facilitating meetings. Essential skills include a strong work ethic, organizational and communication skills, experience in technical writing, and the ability to work collaboratively in team settings. A bachelor's degree and EIT/EI certification are required, along with 2 years of relevant experience or 1 year with an advanced degree.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in specification writing, technical writing, or a related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other documentation tools
- EIT/EI required
- Driving is an essential job function or a valid driver’s license
