Specialty Veterinary Clinical Manager

Job Summary
Develop and maintain a team of engaged veterinary staff to deliver exceptional service to patients, clients, and referral partners. Coach members on process improvement, collaborate across departments, and develop, monitor, and adjust schedules to maximize workflow efficiency. Manage departmental financial decisions, influence behavior during organizational change, and provide comprehensive clinical onboarding and continuous performance feedback. Negotiate conflicts with HR, resolve client concerns, and annually provide written feedback and development plans for each team member. Split time between clinical and administrative duties, with a minimum of 50% administrative focus, while working a minimum of 40 hours including after-hour and weekend coverage.
Required Qualifications
- minimum of three years of experience in a management or leadership role
- Must have standard knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours in the hospital unless otherwise approved by the Hospital Director
- Must be flexible to meet the needs of the department, which includes a mix of after-hour and weekend coverage
- employment with MedVet is dependent upon the passing of a drug screen and background check
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the healthcare or veterinary profession is preferable
- Associate degree or a combination of equivalent college level courses and experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Capability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prioritize duties and responsibilities to meet deadlines
- Highly professional and able to work with people on all levels of the organization
