Job Summary
Specialty Team Coordinator responsible for guiding VAERC's specialty teams, leading onboarding and training for VTAs/RVTs, developing training objectives, contributing to SOPs and training manuals, coordinating team meetings, and supporting leadership with organizational initiatives. Requires RVT status or Specialty VTA status and strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills to support hospital operations and safety. The role involves scheduling, recruitment support, policy adherence, and participation in hospital-wide initiatives, with a focus on sustaining a positive hospital image and continuous improvement across specialty departments.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited veterinary technician program
- RVT status in good standing with BCVTA or Specialty VTA status with VAERC
- Ability to work in a team with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and veterinary software
