Job Summary
Gather and document clinical data, participate in daily huddles to identify patient needs, and serve as a clinical liaison for questions and testing results. Support the primary care physician during in-office procedures and examinations while performing age-appropriate care in the community setting. Educate patients and families regarding pain management, deliver medications adhering to the five rights, and establish care priorities based on patient needs and office resources. Consistently document procedures, medications, and assessments in the EMR while maintaining current knowledge of medication administration.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or nursing program
- Current New York State Registered Nursing registration
- BLS Certification
- Minimum one year of nursing experience
- Basic computer and EMR knowledge
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assimilate information from many different sources
- Must be able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing
- BSN from accredited nursing program
- Experience in a specialty medical office
- Certifications applicable to the assigned office's specialty
