Job Summary
Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization. Perform as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, conducting planned programs, and scheduling medical educational activities. Develop relationships to service and manage accounts, ensuring product access and resolving reimbursement issues. Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze business effectiveness, and develop territory plans in partnership with the District Manager. This role covers all of New Mexico (excluding Las Cruces) with frequent travel required. The expected annual salary ranges from $89,880 to $155,638 depending on the Specialty Representative or Senior Specialty Representative level.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to travel (drive and/or fly) frequently within territory is required
- Relocation is not offered for this role
- Ideally, candidate would live in Albuquerque or within a reasonable daily commuting distance
- Bachelor's Degree OR Associate's degree and 4 years of Sales experience
- High school diploma/GED and 6 years of Sales experience
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years of sales experience
- 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related
- Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience
- 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related
- High school diploma / GED and 8 years of sales experience
- 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related
Desired Qualifications
- Three or more years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device industry
- Product or hospital sales experience in the areas of oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology or infectious diseases

- Local market knowledge
- Established relationships in the territory
- A Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration
