Job Summary
Execute sales performance and brand KPIs by managing assigned territories, building trusted customer relationships, and closing calls through proactive objection handling. Develop and optimize call plans to maximize coverage and frequency while continuously improving sales strategies based on market intelligence. Differentiate AbbVie's value proposition with health providers, identify disease state experts, and share competitive insights with the in-field team to anticipate environmental changes. Maintain HCIR credentialing, pass background checks and drug screens, and drive a personal or company vehicle to visit facilities within the Cleveland, OH territory.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field
- Relevant and equivalent industry experience
- High school diploma/GED
- At least five (5) years of experience
- Three (3) or more years of experience within the pharmaceutical/health/science industry
- In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge
- Expert resource status among relevant stakeholders
- Strong business acumen
- Proficient use of business tools
- Strategic and critical thinking capabilities
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test
- Meet safe driving requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Satisfy all applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements
- Be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain HCIR credentials
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred
- Relevant and equivalent industry experience preferred
- Commercial pharmaceutical industry experiences such as physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care or marketing
- English language proficiency verbally and in writing
- Proven track record of success in sales performance within respective therapeutic areas
