Job Summary
Field-based specialty pharmaceutical representative focusing on migraine in the Bronx; responsible for executing brand strategy and tactics in field, achieving sales performance and brand KPIs, developing pre-call plans and post-call evaluations, handling objections, building trusted customer relationships with healthcare providers, gaining access to key accounts, and sharing market intelligence to optimize brand strategy. Must develop and execute call plans, differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition, and maintain disease state and product knowledge while meeting credentialing and compliance requirements; requires ownership of territory, travel within region, and strong communication for cross-functional alignment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
- Relevant and equivalent industry experience required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree is at least five (5) years of experience with three (3) or more years of experience within the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred and a high school diploma/GED required
- An essential requirement of your position is to satisfy all applicable HCIR credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations in your assigned territory
- Valid driver’s license: Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required
- Proven sales experience in pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred
- HCIR credentialing requirements may be required to gain access to facilities and organizations in the territory
