Job Summary
Specialty Pharmacy Technician role supports pharmacists in non-clinical medication preparation, patient intake, records management, insurance coordination, and inventory control. Duties include updating patient records in pharmacy EMR, providing patient-facing service, facilitating prescription fulfillment and delivery coordination, escalating clinical questions to licensed Pharmacist, navigating payor approvals, operating POS, maintaining compliance with FDA/REMS/manufacturer drug restrictions, and rotating stock while supporting specialty accreditations (URAC, ACHC). Flexible shifts (8 hours) within 7 AM–7 PM; requires NY Licensed Pharmacy Technician and NY Pharmacy Technician Certification; 1–3 years of relevant experience. Location: Lake Success, NY, USA.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- Current license as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in New York State, required as of 4/25/21
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification required, plus specialized certifications as needed
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, required
