Specialty Pharmacy Technician Patient Management Program

Specialty Pharmacy Technician Patient Management Program: Provides pharmaceutical care and pharmacotherapeutic recommendations within the specialty patient management program. Under moderate supervision, operates in designated areas with some independent decision-making and interacts with other departments outside the pharmacy. Participates in training, assumes ownership and ensures quality of work, conducts data collection and reporting, and serves as a role model/leader in the department. Escalates concerns through the chain of command. Includes enhanced knowledge/training in the assigned area beyond technician duties and supports the department’s medication management programs.
