Job Summary
Enter prescription information, perform mathematical calculations and metric conversions, and dispense accurate medications while correctly labeling them. Handle hazardous and non-hazardous oral, topical, and parenteral medications, prepare items for delivery, and maintain inventory through ordering, receiving, stocking, and exchanging supplies. Resolve insurance issues, complete prior authorizations, and aid patients with financial assistance programs. Contact prescribers to clarify orders and ensure appropriate EMR documentation. Adhere to Federal, State, and local laws while training new staff. Requires current California Certified Pharmacy Technician license, 1+ years of Specialty Pharmacy experience, and fluency in English and Armenian.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid California Certified Pharmacy Technician license
- 1+ years of experience in Specialty Pharmacy or In-Office Dispensary
- Bilingual: Fluent in English and Armenian
