Job Summary
Assist specialty pharmacists in managing patients receiving complex medications and provide adherence management to ensure optimal outcomes. Process claims, prepare, and dispense specialty medications while handling necessary documentation to maintain URAC/ACHC accreditation and access to limited distribution drugs. Rotate between the Durham Outpatient Center and HUB pharmacy locations during full-time first-shift hours from Monday through Friday. Complete required 160 hours of on-the-job training and maintain state licensure or certification.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to attend and successfully complete 160 hours of on the job training required
- High school education or equivalent required
- Ability to complete moderate to difficult mathematical calculations using a hand held calculator required
- Exceptional communication skills required
- Strong attention to detail required
- Effective problem solving skills required
- Licensed Nebraska pharmacy intern or registered as a pharmacy technician with the State of Nebraska Board of Pharmacy required
- Pharmacy Technician Certification within twelve months of licensed date required
Desired Qualifications
- Pharmacy Technician experience with exposure to Specialty Pharmacy preferred
- Work experience which demonstrates analytical ability, judgment, and interpersonal skills in pharmacy or healthcare preferred
- Proficiency and experience with third party claims adjudication and claims rejection reconciliation preferred
- Proficiency and experience with non-sterile, sterile, and hazardous drug compounding preferred
- Pharmacy technician experience at Nebraska Medicine preferred
- Associates degree in business, healthcare or related field preferred
- Experience and proficiency with computer software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) or comparable program preferred
