Job Summary
Manage complex, high-dollar specialty medications for patients with serious conditions by coordinating care across providers, pharmacies, insurance, and social services to ensure adherence and reduce readmissions. Expedite prescription filling by verifying insurance eligibility, processing prior authorizations, and managing delivery logistics while maintaining accurate billing for primary, secondary, and tertiary claims. Increase prescription capture and patient retention through provider outreach, community events, and direct patient communication regarding adherence and financial assistance. Review medication regimens with pharmacists to determine timely dispensing schedules and stay current on industry trends and disease-state protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate
- active Pharmacy Technician license
- 4-5 years as a pharmacy technician or a combination of education and related experience
- Pharmacy Tech license
- Certified Pharmacy Tech PTCB, ECPT or CPHT certification
