Job Summary
Specialty Pharmacist Navigator focused on oncology/hematology clinics with direct patient care and collaboration with healthcare providers. Strong clinical pharmacy background with understanding of retail pharmacy operations and prescription processing. Responsibilities include maintaining ambulatory pharmacy workflows, answering formulary/product-dosing questions, ensuring prescriptions flow through ambulatory pharmacy, managing patient schedules for clinical services (medication counseling, immunizations, pillbox refills), coordinating refills and follow-ups, submitting prior authorizations and managing denials/appeals, navigating 340B programs, documenting in EMR and specialty therapy management platforms, and contributing to expansion of ambulatory pharmacy services. Education: PharmD strongly preferred; licensed pharmacist; 5+ years of relevant experience; experience with insurance adjudication, dispensing systems, and Epic or similar EMR platforms. On-site role in West Reading, PA; full-time, Monday–Friday with minimal weekends/major holidays; cross-training and collaboration across clinics and specialty areas. Required Qualifications
- PharmD degree strongly preferred
- Current unrestricted pharmacist license in the appropriate state of practice
- 5+ years community/retail/ambulatory pharmacy or health-system related experience
- Previous experience in a specialty pharmacy and/or processing prior authorizations is highly desirable
- PGY1 residency or previous experience in ambulatory care and oncology is highly desirable
