Job Summary
Specialty Pharmacist role focused on high-level clinical services for patients with complex disease states. Acts as a liaison between pharmacy and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring accurate third-party billing and managing specialty pharmacy workflow. Responsibilities include evaluating medication orders for suitability, delivering advanced clinical education to patients, overseeing Medicare B and insurance billing, coordinating patient assistance (copay cards, foundations, grants), leading third-party audits, collaborating to optimize drug therapy and formulary adherence, directing workflow and supervising pharmacists, technicians, interns, and volunteers, and contributing to policy development for specialty pharmacy. The position is safety-sensitive and requires alertness and safe practice.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
- Licensed pharmacist (RPh) in MO
- Medication Therapy Services in MO - license or certification as applicable
