Job Summary
Conduct professional nursing care and assist in health care management for patients in a fast-paced specialty medical office. Interview patients to record medical history and physical conditions, obtain vital signs, and ensure all information is captured for visits. Plan and manage patient care by preparing exam rooms, administering treatments such as injections and diagnostic testing, and performing patient education as requested. Assist providers with phone calls, prescription refills, and data entry for orders and interventions. Schedule follow-up appointments, maintain accountability for pharmaceutical samples and stock medications, and ensure accurate documentation in the patient EMR and agency reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Current MI state RN or LPN license
- BLS Certified
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to multi-task in a very fast paced, specialty medical office environment
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to deal with patients tactfully and courteously
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with providers, other employees, and patients
- Knowledge of current medical practices and procedures
- Ability to provide quality care and to assist the provider with procedures and exams in the specialty setting
- Accuracy and dedication to providing high quality patient care
