Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients while synthesizing data to optimize outcomes based on ANA standards. Initiate collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to proactively resolve patient needs and coordinate education throughout the treatment course. Maintain clinical competency by performing validated technical skills, utilizing technology to optimize care delivery, and participating in evidence-based practice projects. Demonstrate leadership by teaching and mentoring new colleagues, delegating tasks based on team member skills and patient acuity, and providing input for performance appraisals. Ensure a safe work environment through effective communication with patients, families, and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited Nursing program
- Knowledge and competence that reflects current nursing practice
- Ability to organize and prioritize assignments in the delivery of patient care
- Successful completion of additional orientation programs related to specialty
- Attainment and maintenance of unit-specific competencies
- Basic computer skills
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania
- RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania
