Job Summary
Gather patient measurements, collect data, and prepare patients for examinations and treatments in the Medical Group practices. Assist specialty providers with procedures while supporting self-care plans under the direction of a registered professional nurse or licensed physician. Record findings, maintain equipment and inventory, and adhere to standard precautions. Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and respond to patient requests. Maintain technical knowledge through workshops, in-services, and department meetings. Engage in quality improvement initiatives and participate in system-wide teams.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a practical nursing education program
- Current New York State licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Basic Life Support Certification
- Must receive BLS certification within 6 weeks of hire date
