Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse, maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate care with other departments and obtain or maintain a current LPN license within the hiring state. Complete Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or within 30 days of hire, with additional certifications like ACLS, PALS, or PEARS required based on the unit. Perform duties involving prolonged standing, walking, and lifting or turning patients up to 50 pounds. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to stand and walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to bend and stoop
- Ability to turn patients with assistance
- Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 pounds
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat

- Comparable education experience
- Successful licensure

- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support)
- Six Assessment & Care Modules
- Other unit-specific certifications
- IV Certification within 1 year of hire
