Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed provider or Registered Professional Nurse, maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate care in conjunction with other departments. Obtain and maintain a current LPN license within the hiring state and complete required certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or PEARS within department timeframes. Perform duties involving prolonged standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds to assist with patient care. Work as part of a collaborative team supporting the future of healthcare through innovation and compassion.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license within the hiring state
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to stand and walk most of the time on duty
- Ability to bend, stoop, grip, reach, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
Desired Qualifications
- Comparable education experience
- Successful licensure (in lieu of accredited program)
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- PEARS certification
- S.T.A.B.L.E. certification
- Six Assessment & Care Modules certification
- Other unit-specific certifications
