Job Summary
Specialty LPN in Mercy’s outpatient Women’s Health and urogynecology program. Delivers professional nursing care within LPN scope, assists physicians during minimally invasive gynecology and urogynecology visits, performs specialty procedures (urodynamics testing, catheter placement, trial of void, post-void residuals), conducts in-office procedures (bladder scans, point-of-care testing), administers injections, provides patient education (including intermittent self-catheterization), and coordinates care with interdisciplinary team. Maintains Epic documentation (ICD-10/CPT), manages supplies and equipment, supports front desk operations, and ensures safety and infection control per policy. Requires LPN license and BLS; additional unit-specific certifications may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure
- Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Experience: Can be new or experienced LPN
- Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Note: one or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe: ACLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., Six Assessment & Care Modules, Other unit-specific certifications as required
