Job Summary
Detail-oriented LPN in outpatient Women’s Health specializing in minimally invasive gynecology and urogynecology. Delivers professional nursing care within LPN scope, assists physicians during gynecology/urogynecology visits and procedures, performs specialty procedures (e.g., urodynamics, bladder scans), administers injections, provides patient education, maintains Epic documentation (ICD-10/CPT), coordinates care with interdisciplinary team, supports front desk operations, and upholds infection control and universal precautions in a fast-paced Mercy outpatient setting. Responsibilities include rooming patients, vitals/history review, medication reconciliation, care-gap closure, post-op/pre-op instruction, surgical case scheduling in Epic Marketplace, and clear communication with patients regarding procedures and aftercare.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in hiring state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ACLS (may be required depending on unit)
- PALS (may be required depending on unit)
- PEARS (may be required depending on unit)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (may be required depending on unit)
- Epic documentation experience
- Experience or readiness for outpatient gynecology/urogynecology procedures
