Job Summary
Specialty LPN position in Mercy's Women’s Health-focused outpatient clinic, supporting minimally invasive gynecology, urogynecology, and integrative gynecology. Responsibilities include preparing patients, assisting physicians, performing specialized procedures and tests (e.g., urodynamics, bladder scans, catheter placement, post-void residuals), administering injections, educating patients, coordinating surgical scheduling and care plans, documenting in Epic (ICD-10/CPT), managing supplies, and supporting front desk operations. Requires LPN licensure, completion of an accredited practical nursing program, BLS (and possible ACLS/PALS/PEARS or department-specific certifications), and ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure
- Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Experience: Can be new or experienced LPN
- Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire; ACLS; PALS; PEARS; S.T.A.B.L.E.; Six Assessment & Care Modules; Other unit-specific certifications as required
