Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Women's Health with focus on minimally invasive gynecology and urogynecology in an outpatient Mercy clinic. Responsibilities include rooming patients, assisting physicians during visits and procedures, performing specialty procedures (urodynamics, catheter placement, voiding trials, post-void residuals), in-office bladder scans and point-of-care testing, administering injections, patient education (including intermittent self-catheterization), maintaining infection control and universal precautions, coordinating surgical scheduling via Epic Marketplace, communicating pre/post-op care with patients, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and ensuring accurate Epic documentation (ICD-10, CPT) along with inventory and front desk support.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license in the hiring state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within 30 days of hire
- ACLS, PALS, PEARS, or STABLE as required by unit
- Ability to perform specialty procedures (e.g., urodynamics testing, catheter placement, post-void residuals)
- Epic documentation experience (ICD-10 and CPT coding)
