Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a specialty outpatient Women’s Health/gynecology and urogynecology setting. Delivers nursing care under supervision, assists physicians during minimally invasive gynecology/urogynecology visits, performs specialty procedures (urodynamics testing, catheter placement, trial of void, post-void residuals), conducts bladder scans and point-of-care testing, administers injections, provides patient education, ensures infection control and universal precautions, coordinates surgical scheduling in Epic Marketplace, documents with ICD-10/CPT coding, and supports front desk operations. Emphasizes teamwork, patient-centered care, and adherence to Mercy policies and state/federal regulations. Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited practical nursing program, active LPN license, ability to obtain/maintain licensure in the hiring state, Basic Life Support certification, and unit-specific certifications as required.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; licensure in the hiring state required
- Licensure: Current LPN license
- Experience: Can be new or experienced LPN
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) or successful completion within 30 days of hire; unit-specific certifications as required (ACLS, PALS, PEARS, STABLE, etc.)
- Physical Requirements: Stand/walk majority of shift; ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Other: Clinic LPN, Women7s Health, Epic documentation, outpatient care, patient education, care coordination
