Specialty Equipment Service Technician

Job Summary
Inspect, test, and analyze SCBA equipment, compressors, and rescue tools to identify performance issues. Perform maintenance, repairs, and preventative service on air packs, purification systems, and charge stations. Conduct NFPA testing, calibrate equipment to manufacturer specifications, and troubleshoot compressed air systems. Plan routes, schedule service calls, and manage time effectively in a mobile environment while building customer relationships. Maintain accurate documentation of inspections and repairs. Work independently in the field supporting firefighters and emergency responders in New Philadelphia, OH. Occasional travel required within the service territory.
Required Qualifications
- Mechanical or technical service experience, preferably within the fire industry or with compressed air or life-safety equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule or service territory
- Experience using computer programs for scheduling and reporting
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. without assistance
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening
