Job Summary
Escort patients to and from the front desk, introduce them to team members, and prepare them for oral examinations. Assist clinicians in providing treatment to the teeth, mouth, and gums while keeping mouths dry and clear using suction devices. Sterilize and disinfect instruments, clean each operatory per infection control guidelines, and prepare tray setups for procedures. Complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures, record patient charting, and present treatment records and consents to clinicians. Maintain adequate supply levels, ensure equipment is maintained per manufacturer guidelines, and communicate with front and back office teams to ensure scheduling runs smoothly. Participate in daily morning huddles and monthly team meetings. Specialty Dental Assistants must travel to multiple offices daily using a valid driver's license, automobile insurance, or reliable alternate transportation.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent to high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
