Job Summary
Escort patients to and from the front desk, introduce them to team members, and communicate with front and back office staff to ensure the Orthodontists schedule runs smoothly. Prepare patients for treatment, assist clinicians in providing dental care, and complete radiographs and intra-oral pictures as directed. Maintain a clean, sterile environment by sterilizing instruments, disinfecting equipment, and cleaning each operatory per state infection control guidelines. Prepare tray setups, maintain supply levels, keep patient mouths dry using suction devices, and instruct patients on postoperative care. Record patient charting and clinician notes in the digital patient chart, present treatment records and consents, and ensure equipment is maintained per manufacturer guidelines. Work closely with the Lead Dental Assistant to verify clinical supplies, utilize technology to operate and demonstrate equipment, and participate in daily morning huddles and monthly team meetings. Travel to multiple offices daily as required, maintaining a professional appearance and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory policies.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent to high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- specified training courses as mandated by state for certification, licensure, or registration
- Certificates/Licenses/Registrations as mandated by applicable state
