Specialty Court Clinician - part time

Job Summary
Conduct clinical screenings, comprehensive psychosocial assessments, and treatment planning for Emerging Adult Court participants. Provide recommendations regarding appropriate levels of care and connect participants to community-based treatment and recovery supports. Collaborate closely with judges, probation officers, attorneys, and other court stakeholders as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team. Educate court personnel on clinical issues related to substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, and recovery. Build strong relationships with community providers to expand treatment options. Engage participants and their families to encourage treatment participation and long-term recovery. Maintain an on-site presence in court approximately 20 hours per week during regular court hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.). Provide testimony to the court regarding participant progress when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field
- Independent Massachusetts licensure (LICSW, LMHC)
- Three to five years of experience working with individuals with substance use disorders
- Experience working with justice-involved adults or emerging adults
- Knowledge of evidence-based, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented treatment practices
- Experience treating co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
- Familiarity with the Massachusetts specialty court system or collaborative criminal justice settings
- Maintain an on-site presence in court approximately 20 hours per week during regular court hours (Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.)
