Job Summary
Prepare and serve the full beverage menu in accordance with maman's established recipes, ensuring drinks are served within 8 minutes on weekdays and 10 minutes on weekends. Demonstrate proficiency in espresso preparation, milk texturing, and basic latte art while accurately reading POS tickets for dine-in and to-go orders. Deliver warm, personalized service using the Smile, Engage, Name, Thank You protocol and build rapport with regulars by providing updates on seasonal specials. Maintain the barista station to DOH standards, complete opening and closing tasks including FIFO practices, and support the front-of-house team across counter service, runner, and server roles as business needs require.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of barista experience
- Ability to pass a barista skills evaluation
- Working knowledge of espresso preparation, micro-foam milk texturing, and basic latte art
- Strong understanding of POS tickets, modifiers, and beverage offerings
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and special events
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks related to the role, including being able to lift up to 25 lbs
