Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician, Specialty Care coordinates care for patients starting and maintaining therapy on Specialty Pharmaceutical (SP) products. Responsibilities include benefits investigation, determining coverage, facilitating prior authorization, and communicating coverage to the patient; care coordination for buy/bill/administration of SP products within company pharmacies and mail order; therapy support such as tracking patients on SP products, refill reminders, therapy questionnaires, and coordinating just-in-time ordering and pick-up in company pharmacies and mail order. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED, Certified Pharmacy Technician, and two years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician. Preferred: experience with Albertsons or Safeway Pharmacies, experience acquiring prior authorization from third party payers, strong problem solving and administration skills, customer relations abilities, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; preferred experience with PDX, EPS and Enterprise. Physical environment includes some local and long-distance travel; most work in a temperature-controlled office. Required Qualifications
