Job Summary
Provide instructional and behavioral support to classroom teachers and students in a K-8 setting as part of a special education team. Supervise students during recess, lunch, and sensory breaks. Record student progress on data sheets, goal sheets, and daily logs to assist the teacher and Behavior Coordinator. Assist with educational classroom needs and student behavior plans. Work collaboratively with a school-based team to support student learning and inclusion.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Ohio Educational Aide Certification (valid)
- Experience with children with autism or other special needs (1 year required; 2 years preferred)
- Special education experience (1 year preferred)
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Organizational skills and positive, energetic attitude
- Ability to move around considerably
