Job Summary
Act as a systems engineer and carry out pneumatics discipline activities, define pneumatic system architecture, prepare specifications and requirements, conduct functional modeling and trade studies, ensure requirements management, validation and verification, manage suppliers, review design documents (vendor drawings, test procedures, qualification and certification reports), analyze test results (ground and flight), prepare technical reports for certification compliance, support build and operation of test platforms, collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to define the product or resolve issues, prepare design change modifications and optimized solutions, support production and in-service teams in troubleshooting pneumatic systems, ensure program schedule adherence, and demonstrate knowledge in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and Model-Based Engineering; readiness to travel; bilingual French/English is an asset.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering
- 5-15 years of relevant aerospace engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics and thermodynamics
- Understanding of pneumatics and interfacing disciplines (installation, avionics, powerplant)
- Familiarity with component qualification (DO-160, Mil-Std 810)
- Familiarity with Design Process Assurance (ARP4754 A)
- Knowledge of functional modeling and system performance testing
- Comfort with engineering aspects and project management
- Good knowledge of MS Office tools
- Knowledge of system design tools (Model-Based Engineering or simulation software)
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to travel for short-term assignments
- Bilingual French and English would be an asset
