Job Summary
Design, validate, and certify engine control systems for gas turbine engines, including new centrelines, legacy derivatives, and hybrid demonstrators. Develop system-level requirements and collaborate with aircraft manufacturers and cross-functional teams to align control functionality with engine and aircraft specifications. Execute test plans on simulators, closed-loop benches, and experimental aircraft to validate behavior, while reviewing simulation and flight test data to isolate root causes and drive technical solutions. Generate top-level certification reports for national and international airworthiness authorities and provide technical support to manufacturing and aftermarket sectors. Define and implement system requirements in partnership with the software design department and external suppliers.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace)
- 5 to 15 years experience in control systems engineering
- Understanding of DO-178C
- Understanding of ARP4754
- Ability to complete a criminal background check
- Obtain all applicable clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant experience in gas turbine control systems
- Knowledge of dual channel FADEC
