Job Summary
Conduct deep-dive analyses on cutting-edge timing and positioning systems, specifically focusing on LEO-PNT applications from critical infrastructure synchronization to high-precision orbital dynamics. Prepare technical resources including white papers, internal reports, and detailed documentation on key GNSS research topics. Partner with business teams to execute feasibility studies, develop test plans, perform onsite testing, and deliver rigorous technical reports for customer demonstrations. Support occasional rapid-turnaround technical assessments while maintaining project management standards. Obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, including assessments for the Controlled Goods Program and ITAR.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Geomatics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant fields
- 2+ years of experience working in GNSS
- Experience with theoretical analysis of GNSS performance in various environments using Python, C, C++, or MATLAB
- Availability to support occasional rapid-turnaround technical assessments
- Must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level
- Must pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the United States (i.e. Green Card holder), or other protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) [For U.S. Roles]
- Must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC) [For U.K. Roles]
- Must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR [For Canada Roles]
Desired Qualifications
- Experience writing and presenting technical content to both internal and external stakeholders
- Prior experience with GNSS timing and UTC traceability
- Experience with precision GNSS corrections modeling and application
- Theoretical understanding and practical experience with multipath characterization, reflection modeling, and signal-level or measurement-level mitigation techniques
- A demonstrated ability to work independently on targeted research projects
- Strong project management skills and ability to collaborate
- Experience with hardware testing, including field testing and GNSS simulators
- Experience with the practical use of Linux-based systems
