Job Summary
Senior Cybersecurity Specialist embedded with client engagements, designing and implementing comprehensive security programs across cloud and on-prem environments (AWS, Azure). Responsibilities include infrastructure security engineering (network segmentation, encryption, system hardening, vulnerability management), identity and access management (SSO, MFA, SCIM, privileged access, Zero Trust), security automation and operations (automation pipelines, detection rules, incident response playbooks, continuous compliance monitoring), and potential technical leadership to guide architectural decisions and security strategy. Mentors teammates, contributes to internal security tooling and standards, and participates in interviews and internal presentations. Requires a proven track record delivering security solutions in production, experience with AWS/Terraform/GitHub Actions, modern identity providers, and strong communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in infrastructure, DevOps or security engineering
- hands-on AWS or Azure infrastructure and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- deployed/administered Okta or similar identity providers (SSO, MFA, SCIM provisioning, access governance)
- MDM/endpoint management solutions and device security policies
- familiar with SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001 or equivalents and audit processes
- excellent communication skills for explaining security/infrastructure concepts
- adaptable, autonomous in dynamic client environments
- ability to explain security trade-offs and align with business needs
- bonus: client-facing experience, healthcare or regulated industries, software development beyond scripting, container/Kubernetes security, automation with Python/Bash or workflow tools
- relevant certifications (AWS Security Specialty, CISSP)
Desired Qualifications
