Job Summary
Reimbursement Specialist handles end-to-end coordination to obtain prescription drug coverage for patients, including liaising with physicians, insurers and public/private funding programs; demonstrates in-depth knowledge of rare disease program offerings, disease mechanisms, and applicable SOPs; manages submissions and documents for payers, executes the Financial Means Test, and reports adverse events, while ensuring timely and accurate communication with program managers and cross-functional teams. The role requires strong analytical, organizational, and multitasking abilities, excellent written and oral communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; bilingual French/English is an asset. This is a full-time opportunity based in Canada with remote work options across provinces.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical, insurance or healthcare-related industries
- Experience in reimbursement and knowledge of public, private and federal reimbursement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate with patients in healthcare settings
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Bilingualism, French/English is an asset
